Action!I'm happy to say that we will start shooting the first day of our first feature film Kids Go Free to Fun Fun Time in about 3 hours! I couldn't have gotten here without all of your support so I just wanted to thank you all for helping make my dreams become a reality.
There will be much more to come soon, soon soon.

Pea vs. Carrot debuts on TV

Pea vs. Carrot on WTTW11Pea vs. Carrot will be playing on Chicago's Channel 11 on Friday Feb. 13th at 10:30p.m. & Saturday night at midnight.

We're less than a month away from shooting our first feature Kids Go Free to Fun Fun Time and I'm incredibly grateful for all of your help and support in getting me to this point.

We will soon have a new site up for the film and will keep you updated as the shooting progresses!

Past, Present, FutureHey all, Ben here -- I just wanted to let everyone know that we have finished our festival runs for both Square Pegs and Pea vs. Carrot. Both films were accepted into over 10 festivals each and we even picked up a handful of awards. I want to thank you all again for all of your hard work and support.

Currently we are in pre-production for our first feature film entitled Kids Go Free to Fun Fun Time, which will start shooting in Tokyo in March. More info will be coming soon!

I hope you are all well and I miss you dearly.

Chicago Underground Film Festival

Chicago Underground Film Festival 2008Pea vs. Carrot will be playing at the Chicago Underground Film Festival on Sunday November 2nd at 3:15 p.m as part of the "opera calling" short film program.

The Viaduct Theatre is located at 3111 N. Western Ave, Chicago IL 60618. If you are interested in going please let me know and I'll see if I can get you in for free. If you have any other questions you can check out the site HERE.

Naperville Film FestivalBoth films were selected for the Naperville Film Festival in Naperville Illinois:

Square Pegs will be screening on Thursday September 24th at 9.55Am and Saturday, September 26th at 9.00AM

Pea Vs. Carrot will be screening on Thursday, September 24th at 3pm and Friday, September 25th at 10.30AM

Also at the Naperville fest, Jon Pauss (Elephant Dreams Pictures co-founder) and Aaron Gelman (editor/sound designer for Square Pegs) will both be speaking on a panel Friday September 25th at 3:00PM

If anyone else is interested in being a part of the panel please let me know asap and we'll see if they have any more slots open.

Also pea vs. carrot was selected for the: 2008 Chicago International REEL Shorts Festival! The festival will take place Sept. 12th to 14th at Columbia College on the top floor. I'm not sure what day Pea vs. Carrot will be screening yet but I'll send out an e-mail once I know.

We also got our first piece of publicity via the London Free Press - check it out!

Sydney Underground Film Festival & Much More

Sydney Film FestivalHey everyone, hope you are all well. Currently there's lots of new info going on with both films.

Square Pegs was just selected to be in the Sydney Underground Film Festival some time in mid September and it was also accepted into the Route 66 Film Festival which is in Springfield Illinois! I don't have the exact screening date yet but it will either be on September 20th or 21st.

Pea vs. Carrot was just accepted into Visionfest which will screen in Brooklyn NY sometime in mid September and it was also accepted into the London Short Film Showcase in which will screen on August 24th. We are also currently in talks with Public Access to show pea vs. carrot on a show called Image Union.

Exact dates and times will be posted on each film's official pages soon!

Film Festival Debut

East Lansing Film FestivalSquare Pegs and Pea vs. Carrot will both be making their film festival debuts this month! Both films will be premiering at the East Lansing Film Festival on March 16th as a part of the Lake Michigan Competition Student Program.

Square Pegs was also accepted into the Boston Underground Film Festival and will be screening March 23rd as part of the "Staring into the Abyss" shorts program.

Thanks again to everyone who helped and supported me during the making of these films.

New Site Design + Carp & Crow

Carp & CrowA few weeks ago we decided to put up some more content and we've ended up with a completely new design. This new format is a lot easier to update -- we're really excited because there is some great new stuff on the horizon.

A lot of big things are coming up in '08 such as "Carp & Crow", a Ben Hicks penned animated short currently in production. Stay tuned!
